In the spirit of reconciliation Petrie Group P/L trading as ‘Walbundry Run Galloways’ acknowledges the WIRADJURI people who are the traditional custodians of the land in which the company operates at Table Top and Walbundrie, NSW. We would also like to pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to ALL Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people today.

Our Vision

is to create an affordable alternative 'Consumer Purchasing Outlet' for quality beef and lamb by supplying directly to the Australian community and ensuring our Beef and Lamb Production Enterprise is conducted ethically and is ecologically sustainable.

Our Mission

is to produce quality eco-friendly livestock and to inspire ALL members of our community to make healthy and sustainable living choices by including protein and minerals in their diet without compromise.

Property Identification

In NSW, a property that has any number of livestock residing on the land, such as cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, bison, buffalo, deer, camelids, horses, donkeys and poultry (100 or more) is required to have a property identification code (PIC) registered to the property regardless of whether the livestock are being moved, traded, agisted, they are pets or reside on the land for any other reason.

A PIC is a unique eight-character code assigned by NSW Local Land Services to properties with livestock and placed into a district register. The system holds information identifying land including property names, locations and further details of the trading entity and PIC manager.

Petrie Group Pty Ltd trading as ‘Walbundry Run Galloways’ reserves the right of refusal to enter into a commercial livestock sale arrangement in the event of a client/customer’s failure to provide a registered PIC.

For information and/or assistance in obtaining a PIC, contact our office via our Contact page.

Biosecurity

Biosecurity of livestock industries is extremely important in maintaining a reputation for supplying disease free products to consumers. On-Farm biosecurity management systems have been developed to minimise both the risk of diseases from being introduced to livestock production properties and the subsequent spread of any such diseases. Petrie Group Pty Ltd takes biosecurity seriously and exercises due diligence with ‘Walbundry Run’ and ‘Mimosa Park’ on-farm practices to ensure biosecurity risks are minimised and where possible, eliminated

Livestock Production Assurance (LPA)

The Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) Program is the Australian Livestock industry’s on-farm assurance program covering such issues as food safety, animal welfare and biosecurity. The program also provides evidence of livestock history and on-farm practices when transferring livestock through various supply chains. Petrie Group Pty Ltd trading as ‘Walbundry Run Galloways’ supports the LPA program and is currently accredited.
