Walbundry Run is a 142 ha farm located 5 kms Nth East of Walbundrie in the Riverina/Murray Valley region of New South Wales.
Established in 2011 as a Galloway Livestock breeding enterprise, we commenced our breeding program with a foundation herd of nineteen (19) mixed sex cattle from Max and Pam Meacham’s “Glenayr Galloway Stud”, Aleena. N.S.W.
With the recent introduction of Wiltipoll Sheep, we have grown into a multi facet enterprise producing market direct Galloway Beef and Wiltipoll Prime Lamb for ALL Australians to enjoy.

livestock being 100% grass and pasture fed.
the non-use of Hormone Growth Promotants (HGP’s).
the non-use of antibiotics prophylatically to maintain animal health.
ensuring ALL livestock are free of chemical and drug residue.
never feeding livestock animal based feed products.

producing hay in chemical free paddocks.

Our Market Trading Operation
There are five (5) areas that trade under the name ‘Walbundry Run Galloways’ and they are:-
1 – the sale of livestock to fellow breeders of Galloway cattle.
2 – the sale of livestock directly to Processor/s known as ‘Over-the hook’ trading.
3 – the sale of livestock at auction through the Northern Victoria Livestock Exchange (NVLEX).
4 – the sale of Processed Galloway Beef and Wiltipoll Lamb carcasses direct to the consumer.

5 – the processing of livestock through our ‘Private Label Packaged’ beef and lamb operation.

Wiltipoll Prime Lamb Production Operation
The focus of our Prime Lamb Production is to capitalise on the benefits that come with the introduction of the Australian Wiltipoll breed of sheep to Walbundry Run. By diversifying, value can be added to the farm business and provide the consumer with quality processed prime lamb.
From a general perspective, the desired traits that are perceived as ideal for our breeding program are reliant on established Wiltipoll Stud breeders to produce quality Rams and Ewes.
Presently, female lambs are kept to increase numbers in the mainstream breeding group/s to a sustainable level depending on seasonal conditions.
Wethers are marked and grown out to meet chosen market specification.
To kick off our Prime Lamb Production project we have chosen to purchase our core breeders from the renowned and award winning ‘Westmoreland Wiltipoll Stud’, Wisemans Creek, N.S.W.
Our Syndicated Carcass Operation
The ‘Syndicated Carcass Operation’ has been developed to bring packaged whole beef and lamb carcass product direct to your door. Using our mobile cool room we will be able to deliver packaged fresh and frozen beef and lamb product throughout NSW, ACT and VIC.
We are confident that our beef and lamb is tender and flavoursome. It is the quality of the genetics and how the animals are treated and grown that enables us to produce quality beef and lamb for ALL Australians to enjoy.
Our Private Label Packaged Beef and Lamb Operation
With increasing community sentiment and concerns with what is happening to the environment and the impact traditional food production methods are having on the land, more and more people seek ethical and ecologically conscious alternatives to source their food. At Walbundry Run, in our view, there can be no better way to source one’s beef and lamb requirements than to buy directly from the producer.
Our production system can facilitate an alternative to purchasing beef and lamb products that the community at large are looking for when it comes to where and how it is produced without compromising quality. You can be assured that our packaged beef and lamb products reflect that consumer sentiment by focusing on, not only what is required by law, but also what is expected of us by the consumer.
